Hutson’s Fitness and Nutrition programs are designed to help athletes of all ages get stronger, become more agile, improve their speed, control their nutrition, have more energy, and simply look and feel better about their performance. We teach proper lifting mechanics, running mechanics, exercise selections, and how to make healthy food choices. Our program isn’t designed for the rising athlete, but all athletes, as long as you are willing to put in the effort and work to get there.

I grew up in Moncks Corner, SC but have lived in the Columbia/Lexington area for the past 30 years. I have operated in the insurance industry in some form or fashion since I graduated college in 1997. Most of my experience was on the claims side, but 3 years ago I took the PLUNGE, and I began selling personal and commercial lines for a local agency. In Jan ’23 I started my own Goosehead Agency and needless to say I am excited about this journey. I am married to Jessica and have three children, Jack (9), Jennings (7) and Mila (5). I enjoy being a dad and a husband and I have coached every team that my kids have played on, and that is a lot of them. I am an avid sports fan, particularly when it comes to my University of South Carolina Gamecocks and somehow I found my way to 49er and Mets fandom as well. I enjoy playing golf and pickleball. Nelson enjoys working out with F3 mens workout group (Fitness, Fellowship, and Faith). He’s also a competitive shooter that competes in The Tactical Games and USPSA. He also loves playing pickleball.

I am fortunate to be able to say I have found my true purpose and passion in life. As an Edward Jones financial advisor, I have the rare opportunity to leverage my diverse background and my love for numbers and planning to help others plan for their future.

I earned a Bachelor of Science in packaging engineering from Michigan State University while being in the ROTC program and getting commissioned as an Army Field Artillery Officer. I worked in production facilities and worked my way up to plant manager of a packaging plant.

In 2001, we moved to South Carolina, and I earned an MBA from the University of South Carolina and a Distinguished Student Award for Academic Excellence. After graduation, I worked my way up to assistant vice president for a local company before following my goal to be an Edward Jones financial advisor.
